What is "mental health medicine"?
These days, more and more people are complaining of difficulties due to various psychological distress and mental illness. The Department of Mental Health Medicine of our hospital was first opened as the 'Department of Mental Neurology' as one of 13 departments at the time of its opening in July 1980. In March 1994, the Department of Neurology was newly established in the hospital, and the 'Mental neurology' was renamed as the ‘Department of Mental Health Medicine,’ leading to the present. For over 35 years, with the phenomenal development of our hospital, the Department of Mental Health has continued to grow and has been a pillar of regional mental health.
Since 1984, medical residents have been practiced, and about 50 mental health professionals have been trained to date. Since 2004, as a clinical psychologist training center, we have taught first and second-grade clinical psychologists every year.
We operate a bright and comfortable 20 beds ward. In addition to counseling and drug treatment, we use various treatment techniques such as electroconvulsive therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation. In the department, various educational treatment programs such as group counseling therapy, music therapy, art therapy, small concerts, and tea meetings are actively conducted every day. Specialized and skilled workers are doing their best to provide high-quality, differentiated medical services.

Admission guidance
Mental health and on-the-go doctors work for nighttime or emergencies, so emergency care or hospitalization is always possible. You will be admitted to a protected ward according to your condition and treatment plan. A protective ward is a ward separated from the general ward for patient safety and intensive care.
