The cardiology department is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Major cardiovascular diseases include congenital heart disease, valve disease, myocardial and pericardial disease, heart failure, hypertension, ischemic heart disease (angina pectoris, myocardial infarction), arrhythmia, etc.
The cardiology department of Daegu Catholic University Medical Center is performing various tests and procedures for cardiovascular diseases. They include electrocardiogram, echocardiography, exercise electrocardiography, nuclear medicine test, cardiac angiography, computed tomography, and high-frequency catheter resection, pacemaker insertion, coronary intervention (balloon surgery and stent implantation). Eight cardiologists are doing their best to improve the health of the community and provide high-quality medical care based on their rich clinical experience and professional knowledge.
