"Daegu Catholic University Hospital Rheumatology Center" was established in 1994, relatively early in Korea, and has become the center with the most extended history in the region to date.
In 2015, in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Province, we opened a "Regional Specialized Center for Rheumatoid arthritis and Degenerative Diseases", designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Korea. The center is in charge of treating rheumatic and rare incurable diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus, Sjogren's syndrome, Behcet's disease, gout, systemic vascular disease, and Still's disease, along with the Regional Cancer Center and the Cardiovascular Center. Through various clinical experiences and excellent research results in various fields, including large-scale national epidemiology, the center continues education projects for patients, medical staff, and the general public. Also, it has established itself as a center that gives hope to patients, local medical staff, and ordinary people in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province.
