Organ Transplant Center
has performed over 600 cases of liver transplant from living and brain-dead donors, since March 2003 when the surgeon Professor Dongrak Choi successfully carried out liver transplant from a brain-dead donor.
Also, to help patients who have financial difficulties, such as second-tier class and those who need financial aid, we work closely with the Social Service Team.
Furthermore, we offer services including consultation, registration, and management of living, brain-dead, and deceased organ donors for different organs, as well as consultation, registration, and management of recipients.
The Organ Transplant Center is supported by the Ethical Organ Transplant Committee and Brain Death Decision Committee. Currently, the DCMC liver transplant team is made up of the surgeon Professor Dongrak Choi, Professor Judong Kim, organ transplant coordinator, liver transplant assistant (PA), clinical nurse specialist, and liver transplant joint treatment professor.
